WORSHIPAt the heart of the University Congregational Church experience is the Sunday morning worship hour, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Our Senior Minister, Rev. Gary Blaine leads worship services.
Music is provided by a 30-40 member choir, a stunningly-displayed Schlicher pipe organ, a Yamaha concert grand piano, and pianist-organist Helen Griffin.
They perform under the direction of Bob Scott, whose experience as choral music teacher, member of the Wichita Chamber Music Chorale, popular soloist and director of Chamber Music at the Barn, have made him well-known in city music circles. In addition to observances of traditional Christian holy days, UCC has an early Christmas Eve service for children and an 11 p.m. service for adults. Special communion services are held four times annually, and are open to all who wish to gather with us around the Lord's Table.
